The Maca plant or Peru Ginseng originates from the highlands of the Peruvian Andes and belongs to the cruciferous family. The root tubers of the herbaceous Maca plant are visually reminiscent of radish.
L-Arginine is one of the non-essential amino acids that our body is able to produce itself, although not always in sufficient quantities. In this case it can be absorbed through certain foods. L-arginine is found in protein-rich foods such as wheat and wholemeal flour, lentils, nourishments, salmon, horseradish and also in meat. The non-essential amino acid has the highest nitrogen mass fraction of all proteinogenic amino acids and is involved in the body's own production of nitric oxide.
