OPC (oligomeric proanthocyanidins) is a plant substance found in the bark and shell of plants and trees, as well as in seeds and leaves. A particularly high concentration of OPC is found in the seeds of red grapes. Also apple, blueberries, bananas and strawberries contain a lot of OPC.
Acerola is the cherry-like fruit of the acerola tree (Malpighia glabra), which belongs to the Malpighiengewärt family. Due to its extremely high vitamin C content, this fruit is considered a true vitamin bomb. Vitamin C contributes to a normal function of the immune system, the nervous system and to a normal energy metabolism. Vitamin C also helps to reduce fatigue, increases iron uptake and protects cells from oxidative stress.
